I have been all over & around this problem for the last month, Randy Tucker has directed me to the best Incandescent solution with a E10 bulb that Norman lamp Inc, product code E0359 1.35V and low current of 0.06A about a buck apiece these are a little easier blown if to many rpms are thrown at it (although I've not blown one yet.. the best LED I've found are these …4pcs E10 1SMD 5050 LED White 6000k Torch Light Bulbs LED Mini Lamp 3V LED from Ebay, they are the brightest lights I've ever seen, they start lighting at pretty low rpm, get brilliant white light when full rpm, downside is they strobe annoyingly at low rpm, don't seem to draw a noticeable amount of power until at full speed, even then its negligible, pretty much blow proof in a Jensen generator, I can run my generator up one taller pulley ratio size with these over incandescent bulbs. just my 2 cents worth.
