Taking the Chinese 3 Jaw Metal Lathe chuck apart for cleaning. Really happy I did this. The chuck hadn't been as smooth as it had been and there was a lot of crap inside it. Back to its usual smoothness and a pleasure to use again. Never done it before and it proved fairly easy. If yours isn't smooth, don't hesitate to take it apart and clean it.

An excellent video Jim. Thank you.

Very informative.

Now I just need a lathe. 🤠

Hopefully I will get one this year.

I have been thinking about a Unimat DB 200. I am in no hurry and could be easily persuaded otherwise. I have limited space so looking for something fairly small.

A couple currently on eBay:

Charlie I couldn't imagine this hobby without a lathe, I'm sure if you ever get one, within a very short time you'll be of the same opinion.

I've watched a lot of YT videos and guys make incredible stuff (better things that I'm ever going to make) on those Unimats and they are very portable which is another bonus.
