This past weekend was the forums power up virtual steam show. I started shooting pictures and then
steaming engines and shooting videos. Plugged the camera into my laptop and loaded everything in.
Well all of the pics loaded OK. Usually the videos show a still shot and next to it would be the
same shot with the film symbol in the corner.
Not this time, all that loaded was the opening shot and no video. Hell of a way to start the weekend.
Spent most of it trying to figure out what happened but I still can't get it to go.
Apparently my old server for that stuff went away about a year and a half ago and I was directed to
Micro Soft Clip Champ. Way too complicated and the chat bot runs you in circles. I like using the
camera because it has much more zoom capability and is easier to me than my iPhone. Stoker had the
same thing happen to him right as the weekend was upon us. I don't know how Daniel is doing but as for
me, nada, I don't have an eleven year old here who can wiz right through it.
Does anyone know anything about Clip Champ?

Sounds real familiar Tommy .... I'll be watching this thread closely to see what responses you may get!?!?

I don't know what or when any of this came about, but I figure they (MS) probably changed out the free program that used to handle photos and videos for a fee based program that is now the default recommended method ...... or so I think currently?~?~

I have to suspect that the evil "Data Napper" and "Extortion" program One-Drive is somehow behind whatever is going on with all this.

Wish I could help but I switched to a MacBook once they went away from Windows XP and have only been using ipad/iphone for past 5 or 6 years… What iphone do you have? May be easier for you to upload directly to youtube from that. You can even do up to 60 second shorts now.

What @Nick says, if you are on a iPhone it is likely much easier for you to upload directly to YouTube.

So, you have a iPhone it seems, yes?  What is your computer, laptop or desktop?  What is your exact OS?  WinXP, Win7, Win10 or Win11?  If you like we could do something like TeamViewer and I could help remotely.  I come from many years of support (decades actually), though its more of enterprise broadcast clients but PC/Software support is support ;-)

another thing you can try, if you use iCloud - you might be able to iCloud on Chrome or whatever download that way.

iCloud Photos

Below I am using Win11 Edge, logging into my Apple iCloud.  Then I click Videos and can download.

I have a HP laptop and a digital Panasonic that I've used for quite awhile and it's always worked.
I use it for pics and videos. I have an iPhone 11 but I like the cameras zoom and, it shoots up to
1080. Plus I know all of the settings. I'll keep playing with this and check on iCloud.
