I came across a Lenk torch whose burner was in rough shape
so I thought I might turn it into a chuff pot. It has a
nice removable screw-plug in the bottom so I can easily
drain it. I will drill a small hole for a 3/16" nipple
to route the steam into the barrel and as you can see from
the photo I already have a brass pipe that fits perfectly
in the top.
I'd like to maximize the chance that I can enhance the
'chuffing' exhaust sound. So, does it matter how long the
stack is and should I put the nipple high on the body or
lower?
Just to put this into perspective, I also thought about
turning it into a small 'center flue' boiler or a water
reservoir for engines with a refilling 'force pump'. Hmmmm.
Thanks,
Wayne
