Renown Windmill
« on: June 11, 2021, 09:18:04 pm »
Some one somewhere has a Renown Windmill base with vertical engine .
My workshop has fabricated the complete tower, large pulley , fan , tail piece
And complete pump unit and all the shafting .
All the tower joints are copper rivits as are the pump bracket attachments.

Test run on my Renown windmill base

Cheers
Dennis

Thank you for the comments
I am sure some one will make him self known soon .
The large pulley involved some outside square thinking .
I started with 3 mm thick plate brass as per the original inserted. Hub and turn true .
Now the rim is wider so i got some 7 mm round brass rod . Milled a 3 mm slot the length of it .
Rolled the rod around the disc the silver soldered in place then turned to shape .

Cheers

Now that's pretty exciting, you've been at this for some time and I've been getting progress pics along the way.

Thanks Dennis :)
