No worries my friend, it was just a possible option... I was not sure just how big/small the Stanley was.
A double actin twin would certainly need a bigger boiler though... so lots of extra work involved.
Have you considered putting a support bearing on the back end of the worm shaft... that would hold the worm engaged and would eliminate the need for the spring hence removing sideways pressure on the drive shaft... just a thought!!
