Would a Stuart Sirius build be of interest at all?

This is the current standard Stuart model as opposed to the engine that was fitted to the war time radio sets .

I would be interested too, have the model, but it’s already built... would be fun to see how it’s done by someone that knows what they’re doing  :)

Finishing off machining etc, so will be in the new year now as busy completing items for grandchildren.

I did manage to get a period 1970 set of no 1  waterpump castings in original Stuart box to pair with it recently.

Factory machined kit components - I had forgotten that a couple of sets of these were about so will do a build using these in the New Year.

Stuart items, from the Henly-on-Thames era, vastly superior to the unmachined castings currently available.

So this is the fully machined set made and sold by Stuart's in probably the 1950-1960 period.

The assembled big ends and fitted piston rings is as supplied.

I'd love to see it.

Looks like a serious Sirius.

I would love to watch this build. As a model engine builder ( can't really call myself a machinist), i am always interested in seeing how to do things the right way,

That “cut-away” would sure be neat to belt up to a complete one for a working display  8)
