what is this thing ?
« on: August 16, 2020, 07:19:18 am »
Hi folks ,I got this thing ,looks like a hood to me, I got it in with a steam engine I purchased awhile back & I'm not sure what it goes to. its rectangular 3 5/8" x 2 13/16" 1 1/2" tall & has a 3/4" circular raised lip ....I assume for a chimney, it looks like it has soot & heat wear inside & has some sort of flat flange spot welded inside....what is it please ?

Flange may be for mounting it, seems it has been exposed to fire.
If I had the storage space... And the money... I'd have a few more engines.
