Hi,
A few weeks ago I arrived late for my local model club's 'Bring and Buy' auction, so I didn't have much time to view the treasures on offer. I did buy a number of new milling cutters and then a rusty biscuit tin full of 'stuff' was offered, nobody was interested and as I could see some jars which were full of what was labelled BA screws I bought the tin and its contents for a couple of pounds. The tin was quite large and very heavy there being some rusty tools a lot of dirt along with the jars of screws. Tin and its contents spent some little time in the boot of the car only being discovered after visiting a supermarket.
On emptying the tin in the workshop as well as the contents mentioned they was the following:
Empty tin.

A set of bronze inside cylinder castings for a 3.1/2" gauge locomotive.

Some flywheels and wheel castings.

The remains of a twin cylinder oscillating steam engine.

So I now have the basis for possibly some winter projects. The oscillating engine particularly, it is quite large having a 32mm stroke (1.1/4") and a bore of 19mm (3/4"). It is well made and has a lot of potential.
Take care Tony.
