Large hot air engine by Ernst Plank

This engine was made in Germany but sold by the A.W. Gamage department store in London around 1904-14. It was considered suitable for running store displays, etc.

Very nice Brent.

I think I have seen this one previously.

Is this the one I picked up for you?

It is really massive.  The video doesn't really do it justice.

Brent has been after this one for years and the seller finally agreed to make a trade with him.

I brought back the trade bait from Kentucky on my way back from delivering Scott's auction items to Morphy's.

The bonus was that I got to meet a steam legend who lives less than 2 miles from me.  We had a wonderful visit.

What a nice engine. It's amazing that it still works so well after so many years.
