Bing 9064/2 Circa 1909
« on: January 27, 2020, 10:22:47 pm »
This is a small Bing Reversing horizontal engine. The base is 6 1/2” x 6 1/2”.

I bought it in 2008 off of eBay. It was missing the steam line and garnered no attention from other bidders (it was cheap). 🤠

Danny executed an excellent replacement of the steam line today. I learned a lot from him.

Thank you Danny! 👏👏👏👏👏

Nice engine :)
The cylinder assembly pedestal is extremely nice. Very ornate paint.

But we need the prequelle movie... The one showing Danny's secrets!

Another great repair from Danny  8)  Keep him busy Charlie and post some more videos  ;) :D

I've always liked this little Bing. I bought one many years back, but it has a replacement chimney that's not quite as nice looking... I had another like it in my watch-list last year and forgot to bid... of course it sold cheap  ::)

He was moving to fast to get it filmed!

It was great seeing a master restorer at work!

Today, we go to look for a trunk to ship all of his purchases back to Belgium.

Haha that's happened many times between us, but this was a different one. I think I remember you already had this one at the time of the auction.

That sounds like a good problem to have

Trunk secured, haircut and then back to the workshop to work on a special engine beyond my skill set. 🤠
