British steam tractor
« on: July 26, 2019, 11:40:17 pm »

Fired it up. At first not much go, but oiling and setting it, started to go well. Needs some tuning. I think a spring would work better on the trunnion than a rubber hose. 75% Alcohol works best. Mamod burner works fantastic.

Looks and runs good Chris, is this one of the Pufango traction engines?

Cool to see one of these in action  :)

Will you paint it, or leave in "raw"?
Cheers

It's a steam tractor like a Bryan, so not a traction engine. Yes it's a Pufango.
Still undecided on whether to paint. The bonnet is very shiny so I suspect  rust resistance.

Very nice Chris.

Congratulations.

I think it will only get better as you run it in. That was my experience with my boat from Tony.
