The beauty of the Baker fan , as in real life , this can be used for any engine you want to test a load on.

Crikeys is spot on!!!

Really happy that I plagiarized this St Paul Steam build Bruce and you were right mate this is going to be a most often used steam accessory.

The video didn't truly show the fan working at its best, the camera couldn't catch how smooth it was turning and actually showed it going in reverse and there was a bit of rolling shutter (a camera phenomenon) I dropped the fps up and down from 60 and 25 and it was still there.

Super impressed with the load it put on the engine, sounded so much better than a racing engine.

Bruce its so simple but so very clever, the bearings make the fan spin so effortlessly, but the air resistance and the faster the fans spin the heavier the load is on the engine is simple brilliance and works great on toy and model steam engines.

I am not the 1st to make a model Baker fan & you certainly won't be the last to make one. This is a model in your own right and its a "Bronzer!" This is all you Jim 😊👍

But those folks didn't help me :)

Its 'bonzer' (no 'r') most often used like "What a bloody bonzer mate"....but that's ok, this Aussieification is going to take some time, its a process just like the metrification....but its started  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

Love how well it puts a load on at such a small size  8)  Can’t wait to see it on one of your gas engines

Just curious, why do you have it behind the tractor? Is it to keep the operator cool since it’s so hot there?  ;)

I'm impressed with this Nick (you may be able to tell :) ).

It moves a little bit of air around, but its not directed....but hey...I'll take it!

Actually the weather is really nice, feels like Autumn!
