Hi Benny I am located near London and avery new member to the form. I was intruded to this forum by Raphael in France. The M91 looks a great engine I will send Jin an email to order one. I don't know if they are on back order or how long it will take to get to London.
The next thing will be the PM Research generator. Can you tell me where your street lamp comes from as it looks really good too
Regards

Hi, Hurric, and welcome to the forum. The M91 is a fine engine, and comes highly recommended. Same with the PM genny- comes as a kit form so the added pleasure of building and painting-even machining if you so choose.
Sorry, I can't tell you exactly where the lamp came from. I think it might be Model Power, but I have had it for so long I can't recall. It is mostly brass with a plastic base and intended for use with garden scale trains.

Nice run Benny, fine outfit & I like the genny/light combo as well.

Hi Nick,
That looks a nice little generator as well. I am having trouble with the Austrian Ebay site though. Do you have any other contact details for them? I assume they send stuff to UK. I have sent an English message through ebay so hopefully I will get a reply

Hi Brian, mine was purchased over 5 years ago, so I no longer have any other contact details... I know he sells them in different colors as well. The link I posted was through German eBay, here is the same ebay item number through ebay UK if that helps you any

Hurric, Welcome to the forum! Another alternative to the PM research generator is these from Austria. Many of us from around the world have been very happy with them. He also sells them mounted to a wooden base with lamp post, but currently none of those on eBay... might be worth contacting him. Another bonus is the assortment of pulleys included.

Agree with Nick on these generators. I have a bunch of different ones and this one is by far the best.

Welcome to the Forum Hurric!

I have been experimenting with an old Philip Harris motor fitted to this educational base. Driving it with my drill it easily lights an LED or filament bulb. I like to use old items I have so I will rig this up to an engine

Hurrac,
Good solution to repurpose stuff you already have.

I bought one of the Austrian AC generators and I really like it. The extra 4mm pulleys are very nice as well. What I like is the old time feel to it.

However, I will be putting on a Meccano 3 step cone pulley on it. Like all dynamo steam engine combinations, they are sensitive to gearing. Hence why he includes the 3 pulleys. For permanent display his pulleys are best as you can have 2 belts on them similar to a full size setup.
