First Run of the Lister D Working Miniature Gas Petrol Engine from Jin at OKMO and put out by Retrol and sourced from EngineDiyShop.
1926 - 2026 Anniversary - The Lister-D
The engine started first go after having oil put in the sump, fuel in the petrol tank and water in the cooling hopper.
Jin at OKMO has done an absolutely incredible job of miniaturising The Lister-D to this scale, the detail is just incredible.
The engine sounds just fantastic purring away and I'm really looking forward to testing out a lot of different accessories after a few break in runs of the engine to see just what its capable of running.

Well now, I didn't have to wait long for that .... thanks!

The flywheel appears to be running perfectly true, at least I could detect no runout in your video, so that is always a good sign of a quality build!!

Only thing missing from your video that I would have wished for, was to see if it would perhaps start with just a flick of the wrist, instead of using the drill motor, but I know that can be hard on your wrist mate, so I'll cut you some slack on that one!!!

Wisdom is the domain of the Wis (which is extinct). Beauty is a French phonetic corruption of a short cloth neck ornament currently in resurgence..."
F. Zappa ... by way of Mary, the girl from the bus.

Just amazed every time I look at it how Jin miniaturised the Lister-D to this scale......I feel like a want a full sized one now! I must not look in the classifieds because they do come up regularly down here.

Daniel, this model engine has metal piston rings .... I think with a good flick it would start up.
