Hecho en Argentina; Alberto Muller Calderas a Vapor
« on: May 01, 2021, 02:28:46 pm »
Jan posted on April 21 "A rarity in the Northern Hemisphere".

I looked at the eBay listing and hit the BIN.  I have no engines from Argentina and clicked off another country for my collection.

The engine arrived last week.  I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of construction and the sturdy wooden box.

I steamed it today and recorded and edited a video:

Alberto Muller has a website (all in Spanish):

Overall, this engine exceeded my expectations.  It's nice to see great craftsmanship.

A few pictures of the engine:

Nice one Charlie .... and it is a good looker too!

I have no engines from any country in Central or South America, though I suspect that there are very few such to be had!?!?

Thanks Daniel.  Alan UK has a small Motuva Trike made in Argentina.  That is the only other one I have seen from there.  His video is below:

Thank you Jim.

It is a really well made engine.  I was quite pleased.

I don’t read Spanish very well and I couldn’t tell if Mr. Muller is still offering his engines for sale.

On par with the high quality engines made by Kevin Doveton in South Africa.  I believe I have all of his engines now.

Charlie I've seen Alan's trike before, but I don't remember seeing your new addition before anywhere.

Was a very tempting engine, glad you grabbed it to share with us all by video.  8)

I wonder if the builder has/had any D.E.O. Or if they influenced him at all?
