Jensen 20G Model Steam Engine Driving an Eitech Ferris Wheel via a Homemade DIY Geared Transmission
My Grandchildren and I had a lot of fun a few years ago putting the Eitech Ferris Wheel together over about four afternoons. The geared transmission works brilliantly to slow it down to a realistic pace.

Soooo....many gearing options, I count 3 units with dozens (if not more) choices of different gear  ratios. The beauty of the "Big Red" transmission is its got the heft, to not need to be anchored down by anything. the Jensen #55 is the perfect choice for powering this fine Ferris wheel, on its own it could have many a throttle range required for this set up.

It was a lot of fun turning the #55's flywheel and feeling all the different gear combos'.
Felt like a kid when we used to put our bikes upside down and spin the peddles with our hands and change the gears :)
