Jensen 25/25G "collectors all cast" live steam plant, this is my most ambitious project to date this year, this plant features many pounds of good ol' Jensen cast iron, every cast base has been bead blasted & reshot with vintage Jensen dark blue paint, cured in my shop oven to 200 degrees, it should be tough & durable ,they look as good underneath as on the outside. the #15 Jensen "logo" generator has had the 3" axle removed & replaced with a 4" axle with (2) 4 tiered pulleys to also act as a transmission. the left #1 engine has a matching pulley to drive the generator with just the single drive belt for all pulley ratio's, the flywheel has been professionally re: nickel plated along with the steam chest/cylinder assembly . the boiler firebox/chimney stand has been bead blasted & repainted with high temp black paint, the boiler was sent to the nickel platers & professionally re plated, has a old style Jensen (adjustable) safety valve & whistle, also has one of my 0-30/0-2 bar custom pressure gauges up front. right engine #2 has the same treatment as engine #1, it powers the replica Jensen (never produced for the public) cast base windmill with faux oak water pump & (2) 2 tiered pulleys to drive the windmill & to also act as a transmission, also has a Jensen "accessories" tag.
the plant weighs right at 16lbs & the 3/4" thick plinth is 18 1/2" x 16" and has many layers of polyurethane with a custom ID tag on the rear.
There is not one item on this plant that has not been disassembled , cleaned thoroughly, adjusted, tuned or otherwise made as good as it can be by me, it is better than new. there is much to look at & do with this plant & my intention is that it will look this good for a very long time. This plant is slated to go on eBay Tuesday evening around 9pm , (if it is not sold prior to then)
