That's way cool Nick ........ way, way COOL!!!

Producing all that steam, you're going to need to do a bit of extra snow shoveling down wind, as I'm sure it recrystallized and fell out of the air within a very short distance!   ;c)

Very sweet engine. Do all model 50s have the 3 port hole sight glasses?

I want one but I cry at the sight of the price. Looks very powerful. :)

Haha, my thermometer and hygrometer both had ice on them from the exhaust

Earlier style had tube sight glass, my 3 window has a flat boiler end, later ones have a convex boiler end.

I believe they are sold as 1/10 HP

I only paid $350 for my other 50  ;)  But had to find it fast before anyone else and drive to Oklahoma!  :D :D  When I bought it, the price tag of $100 was still on the base, so who knows how cheap the previous owner got it at the estate sale... I hope to have that one up and going for the LeSueur show...

My steam challenge to Nick

Chris @CBWho, is your porch open or enclosed? Can't tell if those are windows or not... I was going to steal your idea instead of dragging everything outside, but my thermometers have been out on my porch for a good 15 minutes and are still showing +20 degrees. Must be losing a lot of heat from my house!  :D

I'll have to open the porch windows to drop the temp... The things we do when boredom strikes in the middle of the winter...

Nick,
It's a screened in porch to keep out the state birds. ;)

I don't think you'd have a problem with the state bird today...  ;)  :D

I've opened the windows in mine and have it down to about -8F right now, plan to run 3 TTB's at once...
