Wilesco D24El live steam engine
« on: June 27, 2021, 09:07:11 pm »
My newly acquired Wilesco  D24, that I converted into a dual fuel model with a 500W immersion rod heating element, this was used , but a very low usage plant given the high compression & the low residue in the fuel tray & on the boiler. it will run for nearly 2 hrs just ticking over @ low wattage. My Thanks to Randy T. for helping me to acquire it. I also briefly show a Wilesco D28 and a D32 in this video

as received,  Esbit all over the place

immersion sleeve installed & a couple of sheets of high heat insulation in place

all tucked away nicely

Completed & running

Very nice Bruce, looks and runs better than new - makes me think about keeping mine even though I don't have the space for it.
Regards,
Larry

Thanks Larry, as you can see , those 3 take up nearly my whole table top , so I understand about that issue.

Super run.  I like to see the machine in a "braked" run.
Cheers
