NUT AND BOLT ROLLER
« on: March 22, 2019, 06:19:06 pm »
Here is a video of my early "Nut and bolt" Mamod steam roller. I had a little problem
with the chimney filling with water and choking the engine, but otherwise it was a good run.
I had to film with my Kindle tablet as my camera battery was dead so video quality is not as good as it could have been.

runs a treat Paul, for an early vintage engine ...it looks as if it's brand new.

Very nice condition and a fast runner.

Do you have the steering handle? I've got a couple of these N&B rollers with different type handles.

Thanks. No this one didn't come with a steering handle. Would it be one of the red painted ones?

I will have to dig mine out and show you some pics, I believe I may have a red, light green and a different shaped white/cream handle.

It's a shame yours is missing being such a nice and clean example. Makes you wonder if the previous owner simply didn't know what the handle was and tossed it out.

Hm. That reminds me, I have a Wilesco D375 nut-and-bolt roller in pieces somewhere (a previous owner left it in a shed and it rusted enough to need refinishing). Better look it up.

Really nice condition for such an early model. Certainly runs a treat as well.
