I use grain alcohol myself.
I like Everclear and Graves. Both are 95% (190 proof) and they burn so clean. Won't stink up the house or sting your eyes.
In CT we buy it any any liquor store.

In Vermont, some some stores didn't carry it and those who did made us sign for it.

We can only get 151 proof in MN, but it actually works better in these large Märklin burners that put out too big of a flame and would otherwise need to be watered down. Luckily WI is just a few minutes away from the twin cities, so not a long journey when I need "the good stuff"
