You did an amazing job on this one Bruce, turned out to be a very nice example after some SPSTLC :)

It is a mid 50īs to very early 60īs Wilesco D5.

(Same model as the current D6, only without sightglass in the boilerend).

A Wilesco D4 has no whistle, and a straight steamline:

I repaired the Jensen #55 orphan engine I received from E-bay a couple of days ago, Jan (classixs) put a thread on the forum letting us know it was available along with a plethora of other items...many good ,some not worth shipping, but hey , I am very pleased....thanks again Jan  :)

And very nice job cleaning up that Wilesco

You may notice on the front/center of the base is some sticker residue, that engine had this early run sticker:

Before (as received) sorry for the photobucket watermark so prominently displayed across the most important area, I bought a pkg, but I think I went to cheap & didn't get image sharing capabilities...if anyone knows about this issue, please inform me  :)

I gave up on photobucket/Flickr when they kept increasing prices and now use the forum's gallery. You can setup your own gallery with categories and sub-categories and it gives you a bbcode that you simply copy/paste to embed the pictures. The gallery automatically re-sizes the images and they take up far less space than attachments. Also makes bulk uploading from a phone very easy.

Good eye Nick , I did see that little circle, but thought Wilesco's stickers more oval , this answers that question, thank you  :)

Tomorrow I'll make a good video of how the gallery works and share it with you guys... It's pretty easy once you figure it out  ;)

I didnīt notice the sticker residue, which would make this the 2nd (if not 3rd variation), and much closer to the mid than late 50īs.
Well spotted Mr. Severson !
