Carette 105/5 under steam
« on: February 04, 2022, 05:44:09 am »

Original burner still under repair, so with an original Carette three wick burner.

Steam pipe and exhaust pipe re-soldered.

And, especially for Arnold!!! :D, the wooden handle of the whistle re-installed.
This engine could really do with a stream control valve... The rattling sound comes from the baking tray, btw..

The water gauged needs a thicker seal under the lower entry, right...:

Thanks for your attention!

Arnold, you are right, it tuns very well, a pity it does not have a seam control valve. But if you see it "in the flesh" you will realize, that it also runs very easily - when I tested it on compressed air and switched the (very small) compressor off, it kept running on this little extra air pressure for a considerable time...

I must connect it to a line-shaft and some accessories next time...
