« on: February 14, 2024, 12:31:55 pm »
I’m looking for 5" tubing and end caps suitable for a boiler project I’m wanting do. Do any of you have any good sources for tubing of that large diameter? Thanks in advance for any info you give me.

Hope you have some seriously deep pockets because that is going to cost a fortune!

Here is a place that lists on eBay offering 4" & 6" diameter copper pipe, however they don't seem to list 5" diameter.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/141461211975?

Somewhere else I did see 4" end caps that were rather expensive as well.

Perhaps a dedicated metals supply company like McMaster-Carr or Speedy Metals would be a better source?

Good Luck in your search!

$220 for 6" od x12" long
$100 for 4" od x12" long
Quite the difference.

Probably won’t need for a while now. I bought a new rig today locally! Who would have thought such a beauty of a machine would have been so close. Man, I’m blessed!
