Okay, in the other Model #10 thread that I posted for help (before realizing I should likely have started here for "wanted parts") I think I know what all happened to my firebox.  Which the previous owner converted to burn fuel pellets.

1. Took Tank off, hacked the top where two middle screws are at.  I assume this was the mounting location for the heater element (tray?).
2. Cut out two round-ish holes on either side, I assume for "air" for fire.
3. Cut out a square in the front - likely to load in fuel some how.

Edit:
I also have a new part or at least something better than what is on it.  In the "parts" bag there was this little wafer bit - now I know that is part of the lamp / commutator connections (insulator block).  So my needs have increased.  Wafer, better wires, and I bet a light bulb!
