Cool demonstration videos - cool engine.  Kudos!

One question - you mention that it now has an
immersion heating element.  Does this mean that
you drilled a hole in the back of the boiler,
silver soldered in a bushing, and screwed the
immersion heater in there?

Close , drilled hole in bottom rear, made Brass sleeve , soldered in place ,these immersion rod heaters do not screw in , simply slide In and give a twist to lock in place. I use very high temp Harris Stay bright #8 solder (much stronger than wilesco's), never had any come out and tested this (accidentally) by firing one up without water, glowed cherry red and ruined the brass sleeve but did not unsolder out of the boiler.

this is a small demonstration of what I'm talking about.
