« on: October 30, 2022, 10:41:10 am »
Jensen #85G, new in box, opened for photos only. This is one of fifteen made in 1999 for Robotech Limited in Israel but not sold until twenty years later in August 2019. Selling do to need for space. Don't know the actual value but am asking $400.00 PayPal family and friends plus $40.00 shipping with excess postage refunded.

If I didn't already have one, I'd certainly have to give that serious consideration Larry!

But fortunately, thanks to Jan (Classix) for sticking his toes in the water first and telling us about it, I was able to get in on the original deal, and glad I did!!!

You actually have one of the rare ones on the dark wood with the sticker from Israel.
I know where 11 of the 15 are.
Only 4 had the dark wood. Only 3 had that sticker.
So closer to may be 1 of 5

Looking back at my photos, it seems that these were made available in 2018. Mine was one of the last delivered for some reason, as I recall, and it arrived on Oct. 1st 2018.

BTW: mine also has a dark wood base and a slightly different label, in what I believe to be Hebrew. Other than the label, ours look about identical, though my Jensen box is more of an off white rather than your cardboard tan color.

Dorita at Jensen has the original invoice and made these 15 found in Israel. According to her there were only 15 of them made and she personally wired them all, boxed and shipped them.
They still made the standard 85G 's for several years but only these has the two small posts that were a custom order.
Can you share photos of your 2018 85G you mentioned?

Don't want to confuse Larry's sale thread with photos of what he isn't selling.

I'll try to find some photos that will satisfy your quest for detailed info and post it in a separate thread.

If I recall correctly, you purchased quite a number of those original 15 from Israel, so you must have a handle on what most of them were like. Seems we all posted up photos on the other forum where all of this came about originally. But I'll see what I can come up with and start a new thread with what I find.

You wouldn't happen to have a photo of that original invoice from Dorita, that you'd be willing to share with the rest of us would you?!?!

I wish I did. I recalled hearing another another member say that did. I asked Dorita for a copy but in a most respectful way she had to decline the request as Jensen did not feel comfortable sharing that information. I certainly understood. I purchase several and immediately resold three to fellow collectors at my cost.
I kept the others for safe keeping.
I did sell one last year for 450 or 500.
The one being sold in this post to me is more desirable.
It looked like the company in Israel opened all 15 boxes. Labeled 5 or so with the Israeli label and reboxed them all. Then that sat in a storage room ever since.
The guy I purchased from was a liquidator selling them all on Ebay.
If I didn't have one I would certainly by this one.
If no one else does I may buy it anyway.
You can never have too many Jensens.
Have a great day.
