My biggest pet peeves with incandescent bulbs was the fact they burned out all the time. I remember almost always having a burned out bulb in the house. The second pet peeve was the heat. In the summer time without AC, the heat generated was noticable and near burnt fingers when trying to change the freshly burnt out bulb. The only saving grace was the yellowish light.

CFLs or FL tubes of any kind I hate them. The harsh flickering light. Everything looks ghastly in them and they burned out.

LEDs, always liked these even the early ones. The newer filament LEDs. I LOVE 💕 them. So genius. They even look like incandescent bulbs. So many color choices. You want super yellow lights? You can get them.  Recently moved... This house was upgraded with dimmable flat panelled low profile LED lights. They are magic. Perfect color.

A couple of days ago I found out that the incandescents used to last 2400 hours but the companies engineered the bulbs to last 1000 hours. Arg!!! https://spectrum.ieee.org/tech-history/dawn-of-electronics/the-great-lightbulb-conspiracy

Will my perfect LEDs be destroyed by a monopoly eventually? Regulation isn't a bad thing.

Remember, these perfect LED lights only come about because a law was passed dissuading incandescent.
