Hello, thank you for the interest in the tap and dies. These were my father's and he has passed. I was in his shop one day and he mentioned that these we not a normal set and had cost his $$$, do you have a feel for what a fair price of both of us would be? Thanks

Put a price on them. This isn't an auction site. You can buy these things new for $40 and free shipping. Check eBay.

Set looks to be missing one of the smaller taps and possibly also two or three of the dies that the box is set up for, and it is always tough to judge the actual condition of the cutting edges until you go to try and use them. I'm not familiar with the Totem brand, so that also makes it difficult to properly judge fair pricing. The set does look to be in good shape for the most part, but looks can be deceiving. Not trying to discourage you, but simply putting your offer in perspective from a buyers standpoint!

Good morning,

Thanks for the interest in the taps and dies. This was an old listing that I had forgotten about. They were sold.

I believe Stuart was still selling the set for $200.    I have a set with that kind of price tag purchased early 1980s

I know my father who was builder and common skil saws were over $250 in the 60's,  tools were very expensive by todays standard
