Nice finds Nick and love that Weeden
with the beam type engine
We don't get much steam stuff around here for sale in the Antique type shops
We don't get many in the shops around here either Phil, my photos/stories are from years of searching and thousands of miles of traveling
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Y3JKn1dk7wI found this riveted boiler #5 at a local antique shop which holds a flea mkt once a month. $150. They also have an "everything under $10 day- i spent $19 there once for 4 items that brought $550 resale. Nothing steam related though, but i have gotten many good deals from the special vendor/ flea mkt events they hold.

Great find Doug! Did you try to get them down on the price at all? or were you so happy to have found it that you paid full (cheap) price?

Actually, they were asking $250! They also had a Wilesco D5 for $250 as well, so they obviously didn't have a clue!

Early Jensen 5 and Wilesco D5, they're about the same engine, right?
Jeez. I think it will be there for a while at that price and in that condition.
I asked her if she had any other steam engines and she said, "No, but I can come down on that one if you're interested"... I told her I already had that one as she would never come down enough!
This didn't come from an antique shop, but I did find it at a yard sale where a fellow was "cleaning out [his] father's junk."
It's a Cameron precision micro-drill press, and it's worth its weight in platinum.
https://cameronmicrodrillpress.com/It's an older model (Model 164), but it still runs at up to 30000 RPM, and it came with a lot of goodies, so I grabbed it and ran. I cleaned it up a bit, bought the optional retrofit clear plastic guard for the pulleys (30000 RPM is scary!), and have pretty well the ultimate model engineering toy at a yard sale price.

What a terrific score Bob!
Well, well, well....the injector pump EMPIRE
shows up again. Does ANYONE know how
it works?
On mine, the knob is connected to a shaft that
descends half-way down to the boss in the side of
the boiler. It does not go up or down (I did not
ham-fist it) which I think is how it should work.
It will twist around quite easily but that is not
the answer. A thin stiff rod will go up from the
bottom and meet at the boss, and maybe I could
give it a tap to see if it loosens the rod that I think
should go up and down....but I don't have the
nerve.
Thanks,
Wayne
Spotted this at a local outdoor event this afternoon. $75

I've never seen one of these. What is it worth?
