Im trying to start a thread with a picture but don’t think I’m doing something right. Is the picture supposed to show up when when I press the preview button? All I’m seeing when I do that is some coding.

You are doing it right, same thing happens when I click "preview", and then the images show up in the post after submitting. Try your post, if it doesn't work out, we can help you fix it
