I plan on making a water tower. I have a galvanize tank and working on getting the other parts.

Carl

Carl, I have found that stainless steel kitchen canisters used as cookie jars make wonderful water tower tanks.  The metal legs on mine are just 1/2" aluminum angle stock sold at Lowes in 8 foot lengths...I needed two.  Screws are 6-32 x 3/8" stainless...most wood screws which tap into aluminum nicely with a drilled starter hold and a few machine screws same size.
I used a Swagelok brand shutoff valve, but only because I had one in my parts box...there are much cheaper alternatives out there if you don't mind waiting 6 weeks for delivery from China!

Good luck making yours...a fun project.
