This is a D10 I purchased from a lady in New Mexico as well as a Stuart 500 boiler and 10V from the same lady. They both run excellent. The timing on the 10V needs to be adjusted, but I’m too scared to try and turn the grub screw. The 10V and boiler need some cleaning.

Bonjour,

For me, the D10 is the reference of the model steam machines and I am the happy owner of several ones.

One big concern, made of cast iron, they run quite quickly and can be irreparably damaged by rust.

This is why I feed them with oil after every navigation thru a dedicated hile made on the cylinder head, example:

I have had them without the nice oil cup on top. I fed oil above and below the piston by opening the condensate drain valves and inserting a needle oiler. I know that won't add more while running however the displacement lubricator works well for that.

I fully agree with you ... if you have drain cocks on your cylinders

My friend Max made for me this D10 without, he had no other choice to apply this system on it :

Please note that several of my D10 have a coupled pump, mandatory to my opinion because of their very important steam consumption and and a desire not to use an electric one.
