Pufango Steam Tractor
« on: June 27, 2019, 07:16:00 am »
I had not previously owned a Pufango engine, but had to have this one. Looks to be a fairly simple build, but Tony Wright finished them a lot faster than I would have finished one  :D

I believe two of these made it to Minnesota. And for those who don't know, "Pufango" is short for "Puff-and-go"

That's cool. Is the burner inserted from below or next to the steering column?

Nick,
When did yours arrive? I am still waiting for mine. :)

I did just today receive a package from Kevin from UK, the parts maker, who sent those parts nearly the same time as I believe Tony did...

Nick, what colors (if any) will you paint yours? I am undecided between John Deere and McCormick Deering colors. Leaning towards McCormick colors in honor of my great-grandfather. Although his tractor was without a drop of paint, just rust colored. ;)

And an under-side shot showing where it sits

Yes, and I must remember to only climb on from the back of the tractor... very dangerous from the side  ;)  :D :D

Either yesterday or the day before, not sure as I was away. Tony did have a tracking number for mine.

I would go with gray/red as well to match a 10-20 or 15-30. I probably won't do any mods to mine... at least not for a long time...

Yes, my great grandpa's tractor was a 10-20, going with those colors also saves me from having to repaint the wheels.

Tony didn't supply me with a tracking number although I did ask...
