Dang that thing is beautiful !
These have a very wide firebox and even though I am using gas, I was still worried about the red paint on the sides, so I cut two of these out and dropped them in through the slit between the boiler and the walkway
The steam line keeps the other one in place and I just stuck a strong magnet to the other one. So far the heat hasn’t affected the magnet enough and it’s keeping in place and the paint still looks perfect.

I don’t know when Wilesco started adding these holes, must have been after watching a bunch of Jensen chimneys falling off on video

Thought of how great it would have been for you and your camera to be at our feeders today. We had freezing rain over night and they were surrounded with ice and 2 to 3 inch icicles hanging all the way around. Looked really neat with the birds on them.
I wonder what the deal is with the boiler, Wilesco's sight says its a "With its specially optimized boiler" , I would be interested in more pictures of the underside of the boiler if possible Nick, it looks different than the one in Wilescos parts list ?

I saw that in my research, yours looks like it has 2 rows of tangs this one looks like it has a single middle row (although I don't know how it would stand upright) ,anyway in the end I had to have one & placed an order. 🙃👍
