Bonjour Gil,
I am very disappointed because I sent you the last months pictures and you never added them to this friedly contests.
Perhaps because I do not understand the topic...
Never mind, I stop playing, it does not make sense to pollute your mailbox with spams.

Hi Raphael, Please let me help you understand.
Each month we have a poll with 5 entries. When there are more than 5 submissions, all are entries are printed out as thumbnails and then folded in half and placed in a hat. Then there is a random blind draw by Mrs RedRyder or our granddaughter, CiCi. This is shown by video just before the poll for the coming month is opened. Below are examples of our draws.

So there are actually 2 events you need to win. The first is to win the luck of the draw from the hat and then to win the poll by member's votes.
Your lovely brass twin was in the hat for the draw but was not one of the 5 drawn.

Gil

Some of our draws:

Here is what they look like ready to place in the hat.

Bonjour Gil,
Many thanks for this explanation, indeed, I did not understand the meaning of the draw.

I am happy to note then that lots of pictures are offered to the contest, even if only about 30 people vote after.

Do you put in the hat the pictures not selected for the next month draw ?

Hi Raphael, please do keep on entering the contest. Gil's draw from the hat videos add to the fun  :)  I spent a lot of time, taking 50-60 pictures to get the "right" one that I was happy with and I didn't make it out of Gil's hat till the third month!  :D  If you have emailed Gil a picture in the previous month, I am sure you can send him a note the following month that you would like the same picture/engine entered again  ;)

I did use previous month entries right after the first draw. Then just one other time after when we had less than 5 submitted for the new draw.

A great big CONGRATULATIONS, Carl....!!!

It's an honor to showcase your blue horse shoe Jensen #10 as our anniversary EOTM.

Very well done and thanks for the kind words.
