Strange outcome, my vote went to the Carette and this due that these type of engines are my field of intrest and the rarity of it.
But I suspected the double beam nickeled engine, which is a technical masterpiece and would be my second choice, to be in a neck to neck with the Carette and that both would stick far above the rest.
But here you see hw strange these votes can go.

Danny, I'll have to agree with you on most counts, which is to say that if it were only HIGH END collectors with deep experience doing the voting, I'm sure it would have gone just as you said. But my feeling is that the Double Beam Engine was just TOO MUCH for most of the more typical AVERAGE collectors on this Forum to properly appreciate !
