Do the windings on the coils switch directions from one to the next? I have been kicking around the idea of making something similar but I’m not sure about how the coils are wound. I’ve

Bit late to the party
 But coils are CW then CCW. CW and so on .
 I have the generator kit and water pump and steam turbine in kitset form still in boxes
