Have fun Charlie! Tell Danny Hi!
Wish I was there too...
sounds like fun, take lots of photos and videos please.
Thanks Nick and Bruce.
Left my house without a coat. So, I guess I will buying one when I arrive. I do have three wool long sleeve shirts and a vest (and of course a few extra layers of natural insulation).
Traveling vicariously with you Charlie. Safe and comfortable travels. I can't wait to see you trip notes.
I was in Munich first of October and hope to have time to post my video of the Toy Museum right there on the Marienplatz.
Take us with you... have fun!

Will do Scott. Looking forward to seeing your video. Thanks for your feedback.
Here is a teaser video. I was experimenting with the time lapse feature on my DJI Osmo Pocket.
https://youtu.be/pOmAoqksddQAll of the stationary steam displays are in the loft where I was filming and I decided to wait to film those today.
I will also film my private tour of the museum on Sunday.
Danny, Rupert and Herr Schumacher have a display of some of the rarest German Steam Engines I have ever laid eyes on!
Here is a sample:

Nicely done Charlie.
This weekend seems to be growing every year. Uwe seems to do a great job getting the word out. Would love to know how far and wide are the people attending. You might win from Plano.
It may not be until after I retire, but this is a must-do for me. I'm fortunate to be in Europe every Fall for a professional society I'm apart of, but that conference is usually late Sept to early Oct. Ask Uwe to move to a month earlier so I could attend

He might get better weather as well.
Enjoy!
Wow Charlie, Thank You so much for posting those!! Words cannot describe what I seen in part 2

Great to see Danny and Rupert's displays and Danny's bear too

And thanks for pointing out the Bing "Bowman look-a-likes", but those were not twins, so still just mine and Oliv's that I know of

I'm sure the day went far too fast being around all those beautiful pieces
There are a lot more of these in circulation Nick, Roly has also got one.
And an other showed also up today.
They where a late attempt by Bing to get foot into the metal construction kits.
Keep an eye open they now and than turn up for auction…
…strange is, that they are not so loved by German collectors.

Yes Danny, I know the 10/147 is common, but mine is a 10/148 (twin cylinder). I have not seen another, Oliv says he has one in the attic and mine is the only other he has seen
