Root River - Antique Power Show - Racine, MN
« on: July 20, 2019, 12:15:44 am »
This years show is featuring Case. Today was the first day with 110 degree heat index, so for a change I snapped a bunch of tractor pictures.

These were taken in the "feature building"

This year's "raffle tractor" that I'm going to win on Sunday  :D  (between my grandpa and I, we have 25-30 of the 2000 tickets  :D)

Thanks Jim, I've got plenty more. None from today because two storms chased us out of there... but I hope to go back tomorrow.

Very enjoyable.

I always enjoy seeing what others have at their shows... interesting to see what is more common in different parts of the country/world

Here's some local tractors, MTM (Minneapolis Threshing Machine Co.) and Twin City (Minneapolis Steel & Machinery Company). The two merged with the Moline Implement Company of Illinois to form Minneapolis-Moline

Someday I will find a Twin City for my collection...

Wow Nick , that was a stroll down memory lane for me,  (thank you )the nearest tractor dealer to my grandparents farm was a Case dealer & they had a VAC , D.C. & a SC tractor, the SC was our best tractor & I drove it all the time. 😊

I met my grandpa at the show yesterday and he said the SC is one of the few tractors he regrets letting go and wishes he still had. Every time he sees one he talkes about the "chicken roost" steering. I don't remember him having it but he said he found a picture of him driving my brother and I around on it. I'll have to get a copy from him and post it up.

They were really pushing the raffle tickets on the VAC today as sales were way down from the high heat Friday and stormy Saturday... bad for them, but gives us some better odds if tomorrow is slow...
