The Fire Bricks were an excellent solution for firing the engine.

You might consider soaking the corks in hot water before using them. I suspect they may be drying out.

The early Weeden burners used corks.

Thank you Jürgen, amazing that some of these are in the 130-140 year old range!  :o   If I make it to 90 I may see their 200th birthday  :D

Haha  :D  I finally found it! Was not sure about the legs on this one when it first came up on ebay, but a couple others told me they think they are original as well. Spent nearly a week going back and forth with the seller making offers. Might be one of my smallest Buckmans yet!
