The BEST New Video of the 150HP Case
« on: October 06, 2020, 10:27:15 pm »
Kory just posted a new video on firing up the 150HP Case. Definitely worth watching if you’ve got 10 minutes to spare

WOW!  In the video, Kory say's that Case originally made nine of these but none survived so they got the plans
and reproduced this one to specs. I just wonder how much the original ones cost back then compared to this one
today. Also, how much do they figure it weighs?
What a beautiful engine, thanks Nick.

I’ll have to see if I can find original cost anywhere, but weight is 28 tons dry and 37 tons fully loaded (coal and water)

Don’t know if you’ve ever seen a 110 up close, but here’s the 150’s wheel (without extensions) next to a 110’s wheel (The rear wheels are 8 feet in diameter, the 110 has 7 feet wheels and the front are around 4 feet dia.)

1907 Case catalog prices:

9HP simple traction - $1,150

32HP - $2,600

150HP - $4,000 (would be somewhere around $100,000 today)
