Jin does not ship his engines with parts hanging loose. That said, you bought from diy and there is no telling if they sent you something someone else had mucked with and returned to them. I have had around 20 of Jin's engines come through my shop and not one ever had any loose parts on it. They all fired up right out of the box. They all ran too fast for my liking but I have fixed that and documented how it was done. I hope yours runs good and serves you well after the extra "kit" work you have invested in it.
