Tuned an M92 Side Shaft Hit & Miss Gas Engine for a Friend
« on: January 08, 2021, 10:24:00 pm »
This is the 3rd installment of Charlie's Triple Play model gas engine tunings.

First the M90, then the M91, and finally this M92.

These engines, especially the M92 run right out of the box but they run too fast, too erratically, and too hot.
(They do not need any coolant in the hopper when set up right and not under load)

Here is a short video.

Enjoy!

I removed this engine from the still sealed box and the pin for the rocker arm fulcrum was missing.

I borrowed a pin from one of mine for a test run to assess my progress after I finished much of the work.

Then I got to thinking, it likely would not have left china with the pin missing but may have been shipped without the snap ring to hold the pin in place as did one of mine and that is the pin I used.

Jin, if you are reading this could you please include a couple snap rings in my next shipment.

Then I located the original box and removed the foam packaging and whaddayaknow... there it sat.
