Sorry for your problems, I have none of those issues really, I do run on lighter fluid ( I like the smell) I don't use the rope starter as it seems easier for me to just flip it over on the compression stroke & fire it right up. I DO have a silicone tube that I temporarily slip over the fuel tank cap & blow into it to get fuel up to the carb/mixer. (speeds up starting)
