Hi Hundojoe,
I have found that any air in the plastic fuel pipe will interrupt the continuous flow of fuel.
I use the following method to refill with fuel and ensure there is no possibility of air pockets getting into the supply pipe.
Use a small syringe with a brass pipe extension pushed in.
Disconnect the pipe from the carb and fill the tank slowly with the syringe. At the same time raise and lower the open end of the fuel pipe so that it is getting full to the brim with fuel and maintain it full till the tank is full. Then push it back onto the carb and there you have a full fuel system and no air will be introduced up the pipe. A little squirt of fuel from the syringe into the carb and you should have a first pull start.
PS dont forget to add 3 drops of oil into the tank.
Hope this helps, Brian
