This inexpensive low viscosity oil directly applied to cylinder wall seems to noticeably reduce O Ring drag & last about a dozen runs.

I'm going to also try the SuperLube 51004 product described as 150 viscosity Mineral + Ptfe mechanical lubricant & may be better.
