This engine has remained a static display in the Office of Steam for over 2 years
and
it was talking to me.....

Saying "clean me and run me"!  So that is what I did and I got a little of it filmed for your enjoyment.
Cleaning it was easy.... just a gentle re-polish was all she needed. I tend to maintain these models in excellent condition mechanically and aesthetically.

Today it would run for 4 hours and use just under 4 oz of fuel.

At 3:54 you can see it leaking fuel. I was able to identify the source using the camera. A simple tightening of the hex fitting on top of the fuel (lower) chamber on the mixer took care of that issue.

There are a few other videos of this engine on my channel and I hope you enjoy the fresh visit.

That's an amazingly beautiful engine Gil and superb workmanship has gone into building that beauty.

What a delight watching that run.

Thanks, Dave!  I do so enjoy watching it run.
I watch my own videos of it much more frequently than I actually run it which also gives my back a break.

What an incredibly beautiful piece of mechanical art!

So much precision is evident in the build. It looks like the governor doesn't have enough space from the side of the cylinder for the fly-balls to clear, yet it works, so there must be exactly the correct amount of space.
"Information is not knowledge, Knowledge is not wisdom, Wisdom is not truth, Truth is not beauty, Beauty is not love, Love is not music: Music is THE BEST...
Wisdom is the domain of the Wis (which is extinct). Beauty is a French phonetic corruption of a short cloth neck ornament currently in resurgence..."

Thanks, Daniel. These are magic governor balls which have the ability to partially pass through the wall of the solid brass water jacket.
Anyone buy that?
