Hi Nick,

I'm not aware of any of this. Desperate to learn more.  I feel rather cut off from the whole community, other than a few boards like this and some eBay auctions.  Would love to meet up sometime.

Don’t want to derail your thread, but to answer that question, you will likely need to make an adapter to use any other whistles on your Jensen boiler.

As for shows, NOW is the perfect time! Don’t know how interested you are in full size steam/vintage farming, but this weekend is the Scott-Carver show in Jordan, MN. This is the best show in MN for threshing demonstrations, they have about 15 racks of rye for the weekend (Friday/Saturday are best) and I plan to be there all weekend. There is a shed where a few friends will be running toys and miniatures. And of course there should be around a half a dozen or more full size steam engines in steam, and the owners/operators are all great people!

Coming up August 28-30th is Pioneer Power in LeSueur, MN, not a long drive at all for you. They have a dedicated Miniatureland building for toys and models and if you even wanted to try your hand at displaying I could get you in touch with the guys that put it on. Nothing to be scared of, just show up, take a table and have some fun! Stay a couple hours or the whole weekend. The building is also equipped with airlines as most guys don’t want to mess with steam at shows… I have displayed there twice and ran 8-12 engines on steam all weekend. Not an easy task, and I wouldn’t recommend that many! 😂

If you really want to see a show, one of the top shows in the country is in Rollag, MN, Labor Day weekend. It’s a drive being located near Fargo/Detroit Lakes area, but it’s a must see if you like threshing shows. If you can’t make that drive, there is also the Rice County show on Labor Day weekend in Dundas, MN (Faribault/Northfield)

I’ll get you a few links and share a few videos…
